In the second film, Lucy inadvertently provokes the transition from Bricksburg to Apocalypseburg. Her real name is Lucy, and Vitruvius implies that she kept changing her name due to being insecure about it.

He then sends Emmet under a dryer to complete his transformation but resisted, with the help of Lucy and the rest of Apocalypseburg and Systar System working together, Rex is erased from existence and Emmet and Lucy reunite to create their new home of "Syspocalypstar". Upon destroying the ceremony, it is revealed that Rex is actually Emmet from a alternate timeline who became bitter for being abandoned and went back in time to convert Emmet into himself and cause "Armamageddon". After Lucy and his friends were captured by General Mayhem for a ceremony, Emmet uses his Master Builder skills to build his house into a spaceship in order to save them, along his travels he meets a space adventurer name Rex Dangervest, a so called "Master Breaker" who helps him rescue his friends and teaching him how to be tough like him. In the second film he appears exactly the same except his outfit (mainly the printing) is all ripped out, he maintains his livelihood and is unaffected by the aftermath of the Duplo invasion unlike everyone else in Bricksburg (now called "Apocalypseburg"). He wears an orange construction vest with blue sleeves. He is a construction worker chosen to find the Piece of Resistance to save the Lego worlds as "The Special" and stop the evil Lord Business.
